Grocery Shopping in Grace Bay Provo Turks and Caicos

If you’re coming to visit Providenciales (aka Provo) be sure to stock up your kitchen by heading to the grocery store first!

One of the benefits of many of the resorts available to you in Turks and Caicos is that they are actually condo-style accommodations, which means you get a lot more space than a standard hotel room –including large living area, outdoor patios and kitchens. Most come with fully equipped kitchens featuring top-of-the line appliances and plenty of room to prepare and enjoy a home cooked meal.

But what about supplies? No worries. First, many resorts have small convenience stores right on property where you can get the basics. And, there are supermarket and gourmet style stores readily available to stock your shelves and ‘fridge. Fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, fish, all kinds of drinks, dry good, and everything else you and the family may need to ‘eat in’ are easy to get at the local stores around Grace Bay.

Start with Graceway Gourmet an upmarket type of store right in the heart of Grace Bay (so you can walk from most resorts in the central Grace Bay area). Graceway Gourmet features a great selection of meats, fish, produce, plus all the other necessities for breakfast, lunch, dinner and midnight snacks. The store also has a complete wine and spirits selection, and of course, ice cold beer for a relaxing day on the beach on the water. There’s even in an in-store deli, salad bar and coffee shop, where you can purchase your stuff and enjoy it on an outdoor patio (with free wireless internet to boot – just like Starbucks!).

The bigger version of this store, called Graceway IGA, is located on Leeward highway, a short taxi or car ride away. It’s the original store and offer more quantity and selection if you want to do that one ‘big shop’ during your stay. There’s a tasty deli/restaurant right next door, too. Graceway IGA is in a plaza where there’s also the Unicorn Book Store which offers some great gift ideas, and some a few other stores and shops worth checking out.
