Category:  Best beach in the world.... and the Winner is... Turks and Caicos!

Turks and Caicos beaches - great for Beach Combing, relaxing, swimming, or just gazing..

The Turks and Caicos legendary beaches are not just great to relax on, they are full of all sorts of life, and excellent places to comb for treasure and shells. In fact, there are 230 miles of beach scattered among these islands. You might even find some long lost buried pirate treasure as buccaneers roamed our waters for years and places like Parrot Cay (derived from the original name Pirate Cay) wer known hiding spots for the likes of Anne Bonney and others!

In May of 2010, Tripadvisor names Turks & Caicos, the world's TOP beach and sun destination - read the News Release here.

The most famous and popular beach in Turks & Caicos is Grace Bay Beach, where the majority of resorts and hotels are located. This 8-mile beauty will leave you speechless at its glowing white sands that slide easily between your toes. From a park area on the west end to the beautiful Tuscany Resort on the east end, you'll enjoy walking the length of this beach every day. And it is the gateway to the mesmerizing waters of Princess Alexandra Park, which encompasses the calm and protected ocean and reefs that lie in front of the "best beach in the world."

There are other beaches on Providenciales – Taylor Bay/Sapodilla Bay (in Silly Creek), Chalk Sound, Long BayDownload the FREE ebook on the Best Beaches in Turks & Caicos and Malcolm's Road Beach – and all offer excellent relaxation and treasure hunting sites, including colorful and intricate shells. They are all reachable by car or foot, depending on your location. All are open to the public with usually well marked entry points.

Between Providenciales and North Caicos, there are amazing beaches on Little Water Cay, Big Water Cay, Pine Cay, Fort George Cay and Dellis Cay. Accessible only by boat, they are usually sparsely occupied - if at all - and are prime beach combing territory. Check out the sand bar/point that extends barely noticeably between the east end of Pine Cay and Fort George Cay for the best sand dollar hunting in the islands (while you are there, look for the submerged remnants of British Navy cannons used to protect the island from pirates).

Half Moon Bay on Big Water Cay is a favorite among beach lovers. Between the islands of Little Water Cay and Pine Cay, it was literally formed during Hurricane Donna in 1960 and now offers a pristine oval stretch of white sand that attracts day trippers from Provo.

North Caicos' Horse Stable Beach and Middle Caicos' Bambarra and Conch Bar Beaches are family friendly and beautiful beaches. There are limited services available at either (so pack a lunch!) but if you want a pristine and virtually secluded true Caribbean beach experience, head for one of these islands for a day trip.

On Grand Turk Governor's Beach is on the west coast of the island and features powdery sand.

West Caicos is also accessible only by boat and has wonderful stretches of unspoiled beaches.

WHATAREPEOPLESAYING?
I had a wonderful experience with Susan. She was so helpful and guided me to make the right decision for my family's vacation. I so appreciated her helpful advice and her can do attitude. She was the reason I booked the vacation.
