My Weekend at Northwest Point Resort Apr 08

Written by Angelica Lightbourne (former Ms. Turks & Caicos and Reservations Agent for Discover TCI)

Fun in the sun! Last weekend I spend 2 days with my family at the Northwest Point Resort thanks to Mike for inviting us. We were like real tourists! When we first got there, we changed right away into our swim suits to head to the pool and the water felt great!  My niece and nephew, Tamia and Tamiko, loved the pool. The water was warm and at the time, we were the only ones using the pool which was great because we didn’t have to worry about disturbing anyone around the pool.

What we enjoy the most about the room is the living area and the patio. The living area was really good for us because it gave us the opportunity to hang out and spend time as a small family. The balcony was where we had breakfast; imagine feeling the cool sea breeze first thing in the morning, great way to relax!

We spent most of our time, in the pool or on the beach. While on the beach we took advantage of the complimentary services they provided such as use of snorkeling gears, kayaking and boat paddling. The only disappointment with the beach is how it looked. Sea weed was everywhere, on the beach and in the sea so there weren’t much turquoise clear waters that day.

Smokey’s Restaurant catered to us on lunch. Fabulous tasting sea foods of conch fritters and crack conch. We also had cheese burgers with fries and chicken sandwiches. They make some of the best smoothies I’ve ever had. I had the Vanilla Smoothie which has, of course, vanilla ice cream, milk and chocolate syrup with a cherry on top. Hmm… Yummy!

Thanks to Mike, who more than welcomed us but also ensured we were comfortable and was having a great time. Mary was always polite when she passed through the pool area. So special thanks to the both of them for making our stay at the Northwest Point Resort, a great one.
