The “Big South,” South Caicos is the commercial fishing center of the Turks and Caicos. Small in size it offers a glimpse into the TCI’s past when conch and lobster were king, and sailors ruled the islands. There are a few guest houses and a new-ish hotel there, and surprisingly great diving right off sure (including a plane wreck site). Have we missed an important aspect of this island that tourist and visitors should know about? We want to make sure this site provides comprehensive and accurate information on all of the Turks and Caicos Islands, so if you’ve visited these islands or live here and would like to see something added to this site, contact us via email and let us know.
